What Is The 5G Tollbooth Firm? [Stock Revealed]

Wondering what the 5G Tollbooth Firm is?

If you have stumbled upon Briton Lyle’s presentation concerning a 5G Tollbooth Stock, you are probably wondering what to make of it and whether his story is legit.

The gist of it is that you should invest in a small company that will be at the forefront of the 5G build-out of 5g antennas and internet infrastructure.

Ryle says that the company is the gatekeeper to such a crucial component of the 5G network that big companies have to pay it to bring 5G to their customers:

“Comcast, Verizon, T-Mobile, and even the Department of Defense will have to pay this company a ‘toll’ to use the 5G Network.”

I sat through the presentation to learn more about the stock, and in this article, I will provide you with the main points he raised as well the name of the company he wants you to invest in.

What is the 5G “Tollbooth” Firm?

“5G ‘Tollbooth’ Firm Makes America’s Largest Media Companies Pay Through the Nose” is the heading of a presentation by Briton Lyle advertising his investment advisory service, The Wealth Advisory.

5G Tollbooth Stock

Briton starts the pitch by talking about a company that will make large network providers pay for its services if they want permission to provide their customers with access to 5G connections.

He even mentions that the Department of Defense will have to seek it out for the same reason:

“Comcast, Verizon, T-Mobile, and even the Department of Defense will have to pay this company a ‘toll’ to use the 5G network…”

“…They’ve signed almost ten billion dollars worth of contracts with this little tech firm, and once that money starts rolling in, I expect this stock to be trading for at least $68 a share.”

As he was making the presentation, its stock was worth $8 but with the 5G contracts it has with those players and the hype around the rollout, he expects it to rise to up to $68 a share.

This reminds me of other pitches I have reviewed here about 5G stocks, like Jeff Brown’s The #1 Tech Stock for 2020 and EB Tucker’s 5G Master Key.

The 5G Problem

If you have read about or taken an interest in how 5G works, you know that there are three kinds of 5G:

  • Low-band. It is only 20% faster than 4G LTE.
  • Mid-band. It is 6 times faster than LTE.
  • High-band. It is 10 times faster than LTE. This variant of 5G uses M-Waves.

In this case, Briton (and most other newsletter editors) is referring to high-band 5G because it is the type of 5G that offers the lowest latency and the fastest connections (many GBs per second).

high band 5g

It gets investors and users the most excited.

But, the problem with high-band 5G is that it does not penetrate obstacles, as Briton correctly points out:

“These ‘M-waves’ can’t travel very far from their source (only about 1,500 feet before the signal dies out). And they can’t travel through things, like trees or mountains or buildings.

One of the solutions to this challenge is to install numerous antennas (or boosters) to ensure that the signal reaches its recipients, as he explains in the presentation:

“Instead of sending everything from one big tower directly to you, they’re going to use a bunch of tiny antennas to relay the signal to you…. These new antennas will be about the size of a small refrigerator, like the kind you might find in your room at the Holiday Inn. So even though the signal will still initially come from a giant tower, it will bounce off of these smaller antennas to get around anything in its path.”

It reminds me of a similar-sounding concept by Ray Blanco in his Halo Fi presentation and Ian King in his pitch regarding Fluorescent Sand.

What makes the 5G Tollbooth Stock special?

The small company that Briton touts in the presentation manufactures the new antennas.

And this company has an edge over the competition because it also owns an extensive network of fiber-optic cables that will transmit the 5G signals to the antennas:

“This firm already has an extensive nation-wide fiber network that’s up and running. And this network is going to be the lifeblood of 5G. It’ll just take these new smaller antennas and attach them right to its fiber network. It’s a simple plug-and-play move.”

With that advantage, he believes that network providers, and the government, will have no option but to work with the company to bring 5G to their clients.

These fiber optic networks are one of the key components to making this all work.

What is a REIT?

Investopedia defines a REIT it as,

A real estate investment trust (REIT) is a company that owns, operates, or finances income-generating real estate. Modeled after mutual funds, REITs pool the capital of numerous investors. This makes it possible for individual investors to earn dividends from real estate investments—without having to buy, manage, or finance any properties themselves.

In general Ryle’s recommendations are good however he has been known to push what are basically penny stocks. Some companies like Windstream have even filed or bankruptcy.

bankruptcy

Of course these have a lot of upside potential but the thing is they are inherently risky investments.

When you look at a company that is not as established the potential for upside can be huge, but on the flip side you could see your investment disappear.

Department of Defense Use Case

With this particular pitch we know that 5G Networks will continue to grow and Ryle has even predicted the department of defense will need to seek out the technology.

u.s. defense department

At this very moment in time not many of us are even connected to 5G but we know 5G companies like AT T are spending billions on the infrastructure so there will be lots of room for growth before we all use our devices on 5G which brings opportunity.

Investing in stock from American Tower and Crown Castle who are cell tower REITs could prove to be a worthwhile investment.

Cell towers are obviously important 5g equipment that are one of the key components of making 5g work.

Concerns over 5G as an investment

Running this blog I am able to get the inside scoop on numerous up and coming technologies and whilst 5G has been a hot topic for a while now there are new technologies which are seeing huge investment from the likes of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos.

For example, Elon has Starlink and Bezos has Project Kuiper.

starlink satellites

These are essentially offering satellite broadband.

To me, this is next generation internet and could make 5g obsolete.

It’s no guarantee that it will, but when you have two of the richest men in the world with two of the most successful companies in Tesla and Amazon it’s hard to ignore.

project kuiper

I never really understood why Elon had Space X but after doing more research it is clear that his investment into space technology could be worth far more than his electric car company.

Bezos too has the same vision with his investment into space technology with both of them competing with each other in the race for satellite broadband.

5G Tollbooth Stock Conclusion

The company that fits the description of the pitch is a REIT called Uniti Group (UNIT) – that is characteristic of him because as we have already established, Briton Lyle loves his REITs.

5G will revolutionize the world in many ways; it will change our lifestyles positively and enable investors to make a lot of money. That’s the claim at least, but could other even greater technology actually surpass 5g?

Only time will tell and no one can 100% predict what will happen.

Unsurprisingly, many publications and newsletter editors have hopped on the bandwagon to come up with their versions of the stocks they think will carry the day and see share prices rise.

Briton has opted to go for a company that will be directly involved in the infrastructure buildout, a cell tower REIT, which is a clever move in my opinion.

It is appealing to his audience because it is not as big as companies like AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint; therefore, it may provide upward mobility without costing nearly as much like those giant telcos.

However, it also exposes you to greater risk because such small companies are inherently more volatile.

Plus as mentioned it is possible that the tech could be outdated before it has even had mass adoption.

If you are going to follow his lead, that’s what you are getting yourself into. Just be careful not to put all your eggs in 1 basket and pay attention to news on all kinds of topics related to 5g and satellite internet so you can stay ahead of the curve.
